Editor's Note: This live blog is no longer being updated.(KXAN) — Severe storms began to move through parts of Central Texas late Friday and are expected to continue through Sunday with an increased risk of flash flooding.According to projections, the main concerns would be lightning, large hail and damaging winds coming ahead of heavy and widespread rain.Overnight Friday into Saturday, the KXAN First Warning Weather team said there were no reports of hail or damaging winds and a beneficial 1-2 inches of rain totals for many locations within the viewing area. "The only weather threat overnight has been from lightning," Meteorologist Rich Segal said. (KRON) -- After seven school days of being on strike, the Oakland Education Association (OEA) has reached an agreement on "Common Good" demands, the organization announced Saturday night on Twitter and confirmed by OEA's Gabriella Landeros. The OEA said it will remain on strike, but "momentum is on our side." Strike Day 7: $1 billion estimate is ‘ridiculous’ fiction, Oakland teachers union says Common Good demands include reparations for Black students, "resources for unhoused students, school closures and shared governance." The OEA has reached an agreement with the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) on these items.
