(The Hill) -- Parents are noticing a troubling change in their children after using social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, according to a new survey.The survey of 2,035 American adults found that 50 percent of parents with children younger than 18 years old feel their child or children’s mental health has suffered in the last year because of social media use. “Social media has the ability to increase anxiety and depression in children when used inappropriately, as well as potentially open them up to inappropriate sharing, hurtful language, bullying and more,” said Ariana Hoet, a pediatric psychologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The survey, conducted by The Harris Poll for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital, adds to the growing body of research linking social media use among children and depression, anxiety, addiction and poor body image. CHICAGO — A popular show on Netflix is now getting it's own prequel that's focused on one of its characters. "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story" is focused on her rise to power and prominence in London's Regency Era and is set to debut on Thursday. (KTLA) – Panda Express is testing out a brand-new menu item, but it's only available at one California location. The fast-food chain's new Spicy Wagyu Beef Dumplings are tossed with kale and onion in a sweet and spicy sauce. It's the first entrée on the company's menu to include Wagyu beef — Wagyu being a Japanese breed of cattle often associated with higher-quality beef.The sauce, crafted by sauce company Fly By Jing, is comprised of "soy sauce, slow-brewed with brown sugar, mushrooms, garlic and a blend of spices," the company said. AUSTIN (Austin Business Journal) -- The Texas House of Representatives has approved legislation that would create the Texas Space Commission and the Aerospace Research and Space Economy Consortium.Part of a $350 million program supported by Gov. Greg Abbott, the two entities are intended to support the development of a coordinated strategic plan to position Texas as a global leader in space travel, research and technology.The commission would be directed by a nine-member board that oversees intergovernmental collaboration and provides funding. He killed eight fellow students and a school guard before being arrested.The shooter first killed a guard at the school in central Belgrade and then three students in a hallway, according to senior police official Veselin Milic. He then entered a history classroom — apparently choosing it simply because it was close to the entrance — and opened fire again, Milic said. (NEWS10) -- According to the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, Inc., (NYSCOPBA) two alleged gang fights broke out at Coxsackie Correctional Facility within the same day, resulting in minor injuries, additional disciplinary charges, and one incarcerated individual cut on their face from a sharpened chicken bone. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A Missouri State Representative from St. Louis is out of jail Wednesday morning after Jefferson City police arrested her for outstanding warrants.FOX 2's partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that police stopped Lakeysha Bosley Monday night for allegedly speeding in Jefferson City. Police arrested her when they realized she was wanted in several counties for failing to appear in court for traffic violations.
