(CNN) — Paula Abdul, Grammy-winning entertainer and former judge on “American Idol” and “So You Think You Can Dance,” is suing the executive producer of those programs, Nigel Lythgoe, accusing him of sexual assault and harassment along with gender violence and negligence, according to a lawsuit filed Friday.The complaint, which was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by CNN on Saturday, outlines two separate incidents that Abdul alleges occurred in the early 2000s and in 2015, respectively.According to the complaint, Abdul alleges “Lythgoe shoved Abdul against the wall” of an elevator and proceeded to grope her and kiss her while the pair were traveling for regional auditions for “American Idol” in the first incident.“Abdul attempted to push Lythgoe away from her and let him know that his behavior was not acceptable,” the complaint reads.In the second incident, Abdul alleges that Lythgoe “forced himself on top of Abdul while she was seated on his couch and attemp...21 killed in Ukrainian strikes on border regions, Russia says

An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Somerset on Saturday night.Emergency crews responding to a reported pedestrian crash in the area if 1176 County St. around 5 p.m. found a Dodge Caravan that had struck a 50-year-old Somerset woman as she was crossing the road, according to police.She was treated at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for her injuries.The driver, an 84-year-old Fall River man, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.Bruins explode for four second period goals, beat Devils 5-2

Weapons were seen in two separate armed robberies that took place on Kipling Avenue on Saturday night.The first took place near Kipling Avenue and Dixon Road at approximately 7:47 p.m. in a store in the area. Police say the suspects produced a knife and a gun. Police are on scene and have reported no injuries.Three suspects are in custody and there are no outstanding parties. An investigation is ongoing.The second took place just 10 minutes later, near Kipling Avenue and Jutland Road at approximately 7:57 p.m. The suspects were armed with a gun in a retail robbery. After taking a gander at passenger demand, Metro Transit is extending its New Year’s Eve light-rail schedule so the final trains of the night leave downtown St. Paul and downtown Minneapolis past midnight.The schedule had initially called for the final light-rail departures of 2023 to roll out around 11:15 p.m. from the downtown St. Paul Union Depot and Target Field in downtown Minneapolis.Under a new schedule announced Saturday evening, the last westbound Green Line train will leave Union Depot at 12:30 a.m., and the last eastbound Green Line train will leave Target Field at the same time.The northbound Blue Line will leave the Mall of America Station at 12:09 a.m., and the southbound Blue Line will leave Target Field at 12:30 a.m.In addition, there are 19 bus routes that offer service after midnight.After 6 p.m. Sunday, rides on all bus and train routes will be offered free to passengers as part of the Miller Lite Free Ride promotion.More information is online at metrotransi...Family mourns St. Paul man at intersection where he, his dog were killed
